Just got through with some guest blogging duties over at Sane's.Man what a day,after i worked a project today i went to my cousin whos getting foreclosed to give her some money and soon as i walked in her store i knew what kind of day it was gonna be.The store had no a/c on and the lights were off.sigh...shes trying to keep costs as low as possible.i go in there and at first i tried to make small talk..
me:did you see the jamaican women drop the baton last night?
her:no,i have no tv,the cable people came and took their box away
sigh..things were really at rock bottom.i gave her some money and she received it so enthusiastically that i was glad i went to the store instead of her house.she probably didnt have anything in the fridge and probably the lights were off. She borrowed some money from the lady who worked for her and they sent me to the store to get them some lunch.before i left ,her useless boyfriend pulled up with the kids.they urged me to go before the kids came in cause even though they just ate you know how kids are.theyll want some food too just because.this made me feel so bad you cant even imagine.
I decided to get the kids some food too. I get back to the store and theres more kids than usual. It turns out that a friend of hers got kicked out of where she was at and my cuz let the kids come stay with her cause they had nowhere else to go.sigh....why must there always be so much drama in the LBC? anyway before he left,her boyfriend admonished her oldest because he wore some sandals with his big jeans and the cuffs were dragging on the floor.normally i would have let this go on because he is basically their stepdad and who am i to step in? but because his lazy self doesnt provide nothing for those kids i made a joke and took my little cousin with me away from that.lazy sensed it was awkaward but what was he gonna say to me? if you wanna be the boss you gotta pay the cost.Syleena Johnson taught me that.
While getting the food,my nephew (hes my cousin but i call him my nephew cause hes so young) talked a mile a minute about video games and tv shows. The sad part is these are some really great kids and all they need is somebody who cares but their mom is too busy to listen to them. I also noticed he had horrible teeth, kid needed some braces ASAP. Thats why i dont really get involved like that,this girl doesnt need a $500 loan. She needs a whole LIFESTYLE change. When i used to stay over there I was so wrapped up in trying to help out i couldnt do me.you could put groceries in the fridge but the kids needed haircuts too.you can get the hair cut but kids need help with their homework.after homework its time for bed but if you dont wake junior up by 2:00 am he will wet the bed. see what i mean?
after everyone ate, i took all the kids to get icees and then we went to the park.the way i figure it these kids are about to go through hell and if i can give them one day where they could just laugh and jump with a full belly at least thats something right? when we get back to the store my cousin is leaving to go check on her mom.she got sick again and went to go stay in the hospital the day before (one of the major reasons why my cuz is so broke).man when it rains it pours.my cousin is leaving and i ask my nephew why she is driving her dads car,he said because her van had broken down.sigh...
everyone say it with me now:WHY MUST THERE ALWAYS BE SO MUCH DRAMA IN THE LBC?

WOW. That's really rough. My boss tld me one day "You care so much about people. maybe you should look into a profession where you actually help people." My friends were like "Oh no. You'd end up with 86 foster children in your little ass apt."
It's hard to see people struggle and harder to see kids wrapped up in it.
You did a good thing for them this weekend.
I think the word "damn' is unanimous on this one, bruh. That was the first word that came outta my mouth by the end of the post.
I'm with Chrissy on this one - makes ANY problems we're goin' thru seem minor. You deserve a helluva lot more than a pat on the back for what you did for them that day. I feel sorry for all of them and I don't even know them. Doesn't yo' cousin have siblings that can help her out?

The wedding was PERFECT. Exactly what we wanted. It was beautiful and simple but not too simple. And then our friends threw a surprise party afterwards. I thought we were going to a restaurant but they had a backyard BBQ (which is exactly what I wanted from the beginning) His family brought the drama (as usual)but it couldn't ruin our day! I'll send pictures.
damn nodays she really is going thru a hard time. Its great that you were able to help her out but that wont always be the case. As a mother she is gonna have to put her pride aside and just go ahead and take a job for someone else. I mean whats the point in having your own business if you cant even turn the lights on inside to see it?
Man, that`s pretty rough. I really hope your cuz comes through. Although, she needs much more than hope right now. Brotha you really stepped up and I`m sure your cuz appreciates it. You did give them all a little sunshine. Maybe soon that sunshine will blossom into a heatwave.

Damn damn damn... that is really sad Nodays. It's about time cuzzo sucked it up and got rid of the nogood and found a job to pay bills so at least the kids can eat.. but I know saying it can be alot easier than doing it. You did real good Nodays and I'm sure above anyone else - those kids appreciated you!
I just found out that my landlord is going through foreclosure for my duplex too.. but I refuse to stress because there are so many more people out there that are going through it worse than me and I thank God for my common sense, job, family and still running bucket

That makes me want to cry becuase that ish is soo real. Things really do get worse before they better if they get better at all.
