I used to have a BEEEEEEEESSSSSSTTTTTT friend but it kept causing problems in my relationships. Me and "Jenny" used to spend HOURS upon HOUUUUUURRRRSSS on the phone and stuff but whoever i was with at the time would always be like OH HELLL TO THE NO!! one time my girl was at school and jenny had came over to watch movies like we did all the time.my girl and her jealous ass calls when she KNOWS jenny over there and keeps me talking on the phone for like 30 min then when i said im being rude to jenny and have to go she caught the ultimate attitude and got mad.
the thing is before my lil mama i used to do a lot of dating and jenny was my dawg no matter what.i might be all in love with a girl today and tomorrow we broke up but jenny was there all the time.she done picked me up off the side of the road when my car was broke down.she remembered my birthday when chickenheads didnt.all kinds of stuff like that.me and her had slept together a few times but it was nothing serious.i did it more as a act of friendship than actually being attracted to her.wed watch movies till real late and it would be too late for her to go home so shed sleep over.wrestling around in the bed lead to sex but we never was like oh my god the one for me is right here.nothing like that.we both knew we could only be friends cause the spark wasnt there.
Sorry if im boring yall.Anyway as i got older and more mature i realized i couldnt have the best of both worlds.I used to think my girlfriends were being immature but remember that song by Tank "Maybe I deserve"? i started thinking what if my girlfriend had a dude she would tell all my business to? go out to eat with? have sex when they both single? get each other gifts, somebody who knew her better than i did? I wouldnt like that. Me and Jenny stopped talking for some other reasons but I didnt really try to patch things up cause i knew she had to go
what yall think? on one hand i feel so wrong on deading somebody i been through so much with.on the other hand i have to give my serious relationships a chance to grow.my lil mama would ride or die for me so doesnt that count for something? jenny still drops me a email every few months telling me to call her but i wouldnt like it if my lil mama had dudes calling her (she doesnt far as i know).why must there always be drama in the LBC?

Ok, R. Kelly! Way to go for ditching "Jenny". Yeah it was a hard thing to do..but from my POV it was the RIGHT thing.
You did what most men fail to do..put themselves in the other person's shoes. And you ADMITTED to not liking the fact that if lil mama was to have friends like your "Jenny" then it would be some serious drama.
Honesty gets you a lot further when you're real with YOURSELF.
I think any friends that you've had for a long time and were friends with long before you mate... they shouldnt expect you to choose or neglect them because of your relationship...
Now its different if you have or have had feelings of more than friendship with that friends, then the mate has reasons for suspicion... but if not I dont see what the problem is and they are just a bit insecure.
I have plenty of males friends, I hang with only mostly men, and have had to get rid of dudes who were jealous of my homeboys... if I tell you that they are just friends and I am not remotely interested in them... and you cant take my word for it and trust me then your not someone I want to be with
I've been with my hubby 17 years total and I have a whole lot of male friends. I speak to them on the phone, we hang out when they are in town sans my hubby and he knows them all.
I did have to dead one friendship because my it was causing problems but that was one out of many. It turns out in that particular case my hubby was right about this guys motives.
